The Dryer Heating Element is a replacement part that generates heat for drying your clothes. If the coil on the element has shorted out completely, your dryer may not be creating any heat at all. If the coil shorts out and touches the metal of the element, it could cause half of the element to glow producing low heat. Be sure to check the thermal fuse on dryer before replacing the heating element. To access the part, remove the back panel from the dryer. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
