This Top Load Washer Water Inlet Valve Assembly allows hot and cold water to fill in the washer. If your washer isn’t filling or water is leaking out onto the floor, you may need to replace this part. To access the part, you’ll remove the fill hoses from the back of the machine and then remove the back access panel. This assembly includes the water inlet valve, vacuum break, wire harness and connector hose. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. Recommended Item: Consider replacing the hot and cold Fill Hoses (item 8212487RP) at the same time as this repair.
