The Electric Range Surface Burner Control Switch is a replacement part that operates the surface element, turning it off and on and regulating the heat intensity. This surface burner control switch (also called the infinite switch) has a figure eight shaped shaft and includes mounting hardware, a gasket and installation instructions. If your element remains at high heat or doesn’t turn on at all, the surface element switch could be broken and need replacement.
