This Hood Grease Filter traps grease from the exhaust air of your downdraft cooktop to prevent it from entering the blower and vent, potentially causing build-up and damage. If your current filter can no longer be cleaned and is not functioning properly, reaplcing this filter may alleviate the issue. This part measures 16” L x 3” W and is compatible with 36” and 42” KitchenAid® brand vent systems. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, but no disassembly or previous repair experience.
